Best Formation to be used in Team Arena / Team Dungeons **TIP**
I will probably regret this, but this tip will help many of you struggling to do more damage in team arena and team dungeons. You ask, "why only in team stuff?" Simple, these are the 2 areas where your hero stats combine with your lord stats. See below to use for your formations:
(for the purpose of the examples below, use the class breakdown that your lord is: you are mage - use mage breakdown, etc.)
Mage: lvl 35 and below - Lord, Gunnar, Skeggjald, Fairywind and either Sigmund or a warrior of your choice. This will give you 3 mages in your formation maximizing your matk. MATK is you primary damage stat, so get it as high as you can. Assassins are great for adding crit and speed + some pdef and HP. If you choose to use 1 warrior in the formation that is fine too as he can provide pdef and HP.
lvl 36 and above - this will change as you level up and more heroes become available, but try using this: Lord, Gunnar, Skeggjald, Knefrud and Fairywind. Now you have 4 mages total in formation thus more matk and still use 1 assassin for crit and speed and some HP/pdef.
If you don't use many mages in your formation, your damage will always be crippled. Your total matk also affects heals you might use.
Warrior: lvl 35 and below - Lord, Zimanus, Andvari, Sigmund, and Fairyfire. 4 warriors and 1 assassin (for crit and speed) will help maximize your damage and ability to take hits and live longer.
lvl 36 and above - Lord, Andvari, Fairyfire, Beowulfe and Fairywind. Same as before, 4 warriors and 1 assassin. Even more patk, pdef, HP and some speed and crit.
Having a mage in your formation will cripple your damage. Don't do it.
Assassin: lvl 35 and below - Lord, Sigmund, Fairyfire, Andvari / Fairywind. As soon as you get Fairywind, replace Andvari. This will be a good mix of patk, pdef, HP, crit and speed. Again, no mages or you hurt your damage.
lvl 36 and above - Lord, Fairyfire, Fairywind, Beowulf, Sigmund. Not much difference here except you will replace your weakest warrior with Beowulf.
As you can see, your focus should be on heroes who add to your patk / matk first, everything is secondary.
**NOTE** If you receive orange heroes from events / quests, you can use them instead. Just swap out with the weakest of that type. Example: Fairywater would replace Zimanus or Andvari.
Hope this helps. If you are confused, please leave a reply to this post and I will try to answer it. Thanks and I hope your team arena and team dungeon experience is better.
